Ceanothus ‘Skylark’

A versatile and hardy evergreen shrub, Ceanothus ‘Skylark’ (Californian Lilac) is a true garden workhorse that delivers year-round structure. From late spring into early summer, this compact variety is smothered in dense clusters of rich, deep blue flowers that stand out beautifully against its glossy, dark green foliage.

Unlike many other varieties, ‘Skylark’ has a naturally bushy, upright habit, making it perfect for informal hedging or adding evergreen interest to a mixed border. This RHS Award of Garden Merit winner is a magnet for bees and drought tolerant when established.

May-June flowering. Evergreen. Best in a sunny, sheltered spot with well-drained soil. Height & spread: 1.5m x 2m (5′ x 7′).
