Dragon Fruit Cactus

Dragon Fruit Cactus, scientifically known as Hylocereus undatus, also known as Pitaya, is a fast-growing, exotic cactus prized for its dramatic night-blooming flowers and vibrant, edible fruit. Despite its bold name, this plant is soft to the touch and surprisingly easy to care for. In warm, bright conditions, potted plants can flower and fruit indoors, producing the iconic bright pink, scaly fruits filled with soft flesh dotted with tiny black seeds. The flavour is mild, refreshing, and lightly sweetoften compared to a blend of kiwi and pear. Native to Central America and now widely cultivated around the world, Dragon Fruit Cactus is both ornamental and rewarding.
