Iris ‘Dusky Challenger’

Iris Dusky Challenger is a true showstopper; a stately bearded iris producing huge ruffled blooms in deep iridescent purple-blue, with a heavy scent evocative of hot chocolate. Flowering in early summer, each strong stem can carry up to 13 buds, creating an impressive and long-lasting display.

This outstanding variety is ideal for adding drama to herbaceous borders, gravel gardens and cottage-style planting, pairing beautifully with other blue and purple flowering perennials.

May-June flowering. Best grown in full sun in well-drained soil. Height & spread: 120cm x 60cm (47″ x 24″).
