Turnip Golden Ball

Attractive smooth, golden yellow skinned with golden yellow flesh of sweet and tender taste. Best grown as a main crop as the mature tennis ball sized roots store well overwinter. The leaves can be steamed as ‘greens’

Sow thinly, 1cm (1/2in) deep in drills 30cm (12in) apart.

Thin seedlings when large enough to handle to 10-15cm (4-6in) apart. For best results turnips should be grown quickly, help to achieve this by watering well at all stages.
